Letter Of The Week: The Guardian
Can anyone explain why Denis MacShane (Report, 3 November) has been forced, rightly, to resign as
MP for falsely claiming £12,000 in expenses, while David Laws, who
falsely claimed over £40,000 for rent, ostensibly to hide the fact that
he was gay, is not only back in parliament (after only a seven-day
suspension, compared with 12 months imposed on MacShane before he
decided to quit), but is now installed as minister for schools?
